for some people who experience the above crash while starting Cosmosƒ, please update your OSX to latest version 10.8.3. It seems there has been some change in between updates of Apple, somehow the latest OSX version has solved it.

If you set the MacroEVLength to 20ms. (e.g. 880 samples) and meso/micro event density to 9 (e.g. 81 micro events distributed in one cycle), you will have 880/81 = 10 samples for each micro event to define your waveform without any pitch scaling. There things start to get uncertain!
